We recently transformed a beautiful raised deck in Vacaville, CA. It had been stained two years prior, but signs of serious failure were undeniable. The horrendous fires that plagued California near the house had wreaked major havoc, causing the stain to bubble, peel, and completely lift off of the Redwood. 

Our crew started with an extensive power wash, followed by a day of sanding to remove as much failed stain as possible. The steps, handrail, and spindles required great attention to detail, but we made sure to not leave a single stone unturned. 

After all of our crew’s preparation work was done, two coats of Armstrong Semi Transparent Oil Stain in Natural Oak were applied. We waited 48 hours between coats allowing for the stain to completely penetrate the wood and dry. Brooks Painting is especially proud of the outcome for our customers, as this was no easy task!
