"The man on top of the mountain, didn't fall there"
Brooks Painting is very proud to be a member of the Woodland Chamber of Commerce, and last night our very own Jeremy Brooks, Owner and “Head Hancho” was awarded Business Man of the year 2018!
Home, community, and family have always been important to Jeremy Brooks. He was adopted by two wonderful parents when he was just three days old. Davis has been his hometown for many years now, ever since he attended college at UC Davis.
It was also in Davis, back in 1997, that Jeremy decided to start a residential painting company. The operation was small, including only Jeremy and two other painters, but his goals were big: to build a business that offered quality services to clients, and wonderful employment opportunities to his team.
Because of the value he places on being invested and involved, Jeremy also wanted Brooks Painting to be a place that was not just in Davis but woven right into the fabric of the community. Today, we are all proud to be part of an organization that is avidly involved in the Davis & Woodland Chamber of Commerce, donates dozens of Painter for a Day gift certificates each year, and offers free services annually to a nominated, deserving home or nonprofit organization. Thanks to our continued growth, we are happy to be able to offer our expertise not just in Davis, but to numerous communities nearby as well.
On top of that, Jeremy is a former president of the Davis Chamber, and he served on the board of both the Davis Little League and The Blue & White Foundation. We also prioritize supporting local businesses because we understand firsthand just how valuable a role they play!
Coming full circle back to family, Jeremy has now been married for over twenty years and enjoys spending time with his kids. This has included coaching his sons in their wrestling, baseball and basketball endeavors, and cheering his daughter on during her equestrian events.

“Though Brooks Painting is based in Davis, you’d be hard pressed to get through Woodland without seeing one of his crews completing a paint job, a Brooks banner at a local event, such as the Yolo County Fair or Rhythm and Ribs, a billboard sporting a colorful Brooks log or even just one of many employees out and about with their family here in Woodland,” said Ullrich.
“Jeremy’s commitment to good business practice, continuing education and career growth for his employees and limitless contributions and support of our community is why” he receiving the Businessman of the Year Award,” Ullrich added.
Congratulations Jeremy! We are all so very proud of you!
