Safety Comes First at Brooks Painting
We value our employees here at Brooks Painting more than any other thing. That means providing a safe work environment to them. This can be challenging when you do over 500 jobs a year, and they are all so very different. Our life certainly would be easier if all of our employees worked at the same place, doing the same thing every day. Since that is not the case, we have to look at a lot of different things when it comes to safety.This would be way too long of an article if I took the time to go into everything. Below is a picture of this year’s respirator fit testing. We are fortunate to partner with 3M for a lot of our products. Our respirators are all made by 3M, and they come to our office and fit test our guys. Fit testing is required by OSHA to be done annually for each employee, and documented. We also do every other week safety tailgate trainings. In 2013 we have been fortunate to be accident free. It takes everyone in our company to be vigilant about safety to have a safe work environment, or else it doesn’t work. “Safety First”!
