Most of us want to have a nice looking home, but stay pretty safe with our color choices.  Only a handful of home styles allow doing some bold colors on the body or trim, like a victorian home.  What does every home have regardless of its style? A front door, and this is everyone’s chance to be bold with a pop of color.  The best part of taking a risk on a front door color, is that if you get tired of it after a few years it is easy to change a door color.  A front door color not only adds to your curb appeal, but allows you to show off your unique style and allow a little of your personality show thru.

Different colors say different things, and give different feelings.

Black and red doors are traditional and elegant.  They are classic and never go out of style.

Blues and greens can be bold colors but most time they are rich colors than can provide the pop of color without being over the top.

Orange, yellow, purple, turquoise are definitely on the bold side of the color spectrum, but are some of my favorite colors to use.  They really allow a bit of whimsical fun, and a bold statement as you walk up to the front door.
