Home Show in Sacramento, CA!
January 24, 25, and 26th is the 2014 Northern California Home & Landscape Expo. Brooks Painting will be there in building #5 and hoping to meet some new customers as well as see some past customers. This show has over 1,000 exhibitors in 13 buildings, plus outdoor exhibitors. That’s a lot of ground to cover! Most people only plan on attending one of the 3 days and will not get to everything at the show. Here are a few tips on making your visit to the show (or any home show) more productive:
- Take pre-printed address label stickers so when you sign up for information, drawings, etc., you do not have to write out your information every time. Just put a sticker on!
- If you are looking for specific services/exhibits, do a little research ahead of time. Look at the online directory of the show and see what companies will be there that offer the services you need and make a list of who they are and what building they are in so you’re not just wandering hoping to see them. You may also want to check out their website ahead of time to learn more about them before meeting them in person.
- Beware of high-pressure exhibitors that want you to commit to a price for future services on the spot. If it’s a home improvement project, they should be coming to your home and putting their eyes on your project to give you a truly accurate estimate. Otherwise they are just guessing!
- If you are an attendee who likes to purchase retail vendor items at these shows, bring something to put your purchases in that you are comfortable carrying for probably hours. Some people bring small travel bags on wheels so they can pull it with them instead of carrying a bag. Check show rules first to see if they have restrictions on what you can bring inside.
- And, of course, wear comfortable shoes!
