7th Annual Charity Paint

This past Sunday was the Brooks Painting 7^th annual Charity Paint Give-Away. This year's recipient was the Yolo Community Care Continuum (YCCC) Safe Harbor House in Woodland, CA. In brief, Yolo Community Care Continuum is a non-profit organization established to better the lives of people with a mental illness through direct services, advocacy, education and volunteer efforts.

Safe Harbor House received $10,000 in interior painting services. 22 employees along with a few family members volunteered their day painting common areas, bedrooms, bathrooms and offices. A big thank you to our sponsors who helped make this happen: Wyman Design for the online voting poll, Ink Monkey Graphics for our t-shirts, The Davis Graduate for providing lunch, and Sherwin-Williams Paint for donating the paint used for the project. Thank you also to everyone out there who participated in the nominations and voting. It is very rewarding to see the difference we made and we are looking forward to many more years of charity paint projects!

Brooks did a fantastic job on our exterior and interior paint jobs. Quality was high, price was reasonable, and the team was extremely professional and detail-oriented. Mark was our crew lead and the team performed a number of exterior wood repairs, a door re-stain, interior and exterior painting. Mark clearly takes a lot of pride in his work and went above and beyond to ensure the work was high-quality, including finding exact matching siding to fix dry rot, and performing minor repairs that weren't even included in the quote.
