Be Patriotic with Paint!
The 2012 Summer Olympics are in full swing and it inspires patriotism. What better way to celebrate the event by using that patriotic theme to select colors for your home. The red, white and blue colors work very well together, and it doesn’t have to be the primary colors, but can easily be represented in soft shades of blue and red or vivid teals and bright pinks.Sherwin Williams has a terrific red for your front door called Sundried Tomato. Its rich blue undertones work perfectly with gray siding. A sweet pink for a girl’s bedroom is Damsel. One of my favorite blues, and I’ve used in on exteriors, is Indigo Batik. It’s a rich, deep blue, not for the timid. And don’t forget that there is a wide range of blue, from aqua to grey blues. There are so many to choose from and the cool blues can cheer up any room.
So let’s cheer on our teams and celebrate them by painting our walls with the colors of our country; red, white or blue.
